Due to on-site construction, the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing will be closed on Friday 31 August 2018 and Monday 03 September 2018. All the Sweden Visa Application Center will be open as usual during this time.

Prime Time service- The applicants could have working hours extended and submit the visa application between 15:00 to 18:00 The applicant is required to book the appointment for submission.
Weekend Submission (via prior appointments): With a prior appointment, applicant could submit their visa application on Sunday between 09:00 to 12:00.

Be careful of touts and agents when you visit the Visa Application Centers
Dear Visa Applicants,
Please be careful of touts and agents when you visit the visa application centers. We have received reports that they offer their services claiming to be an officer of the visa application center and charge exorbitant prices for services which are either provided for free at the visa application center or at very nominal prices.
Please note that the visa application center or the Embassy/Consulate do not endorse any agency or agents and cannot be held responsible for their actions.

The Embassy of Sweden in Beijing/Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai is pleased to announce the launch of the Sweden Visa Application Center in Xian/Chongqing/Hangzhou on 31 March, in Shenyang/Wuhan/Changsha on 8 April 2016, in Chengdu/Jinan on 15 April 2016,in Nanjing/Kunming on 22 April 2016.

Sweden will open ten new visa application centres
To make the application process more convenient for the increasing numbers of Chinese travellers, Sweden will open new visa application centres in several cities in China.
During the spring, ten new Swedish visa application centres will open in Xi’an, Chongqing, Nanjing, Chengdu, Shenyang, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Jinan, Kunming and Changsha. Currently, there are visa application centres in Beijing and in Shanghai.
The number of Chinese visitors to Sweden is growing rapidly, and the opening of new visa application centres in different parts of the country will make it more convenient for visitors to submit their applications. With the new application centres, we hope that even more Chinese travellers will get a chance to experience Sweden.
“We welcome Chinese travellers to visit Sweden, the country of Nobel, the northern lights and the midnight sun. By opening visa application centres in several locations in China, we hope to provide the best possible service together with VFS Global,” said Anna Eriksson, head of the migration section at the Embassy of Sweden.

Relocation of Shanghai Visa Application Centre - 25 May 2015
Please be informed that the Sweden Visa Application Centre – Shanghai will be relocated to a new location for submission of visa applications and for collection of the processed visa application result. Effective 25 May 2015, applicants need to visit the new Sweden Visa Application Centre located at “3rd Floor, Jiushi Commercial Building, 213 Sichuan Middle Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, China”. Helpline number will be changed to 0086-21-51859742. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

Holders of official passports (including service passports, public passports and diplomatic passports) of nationalities other than China should submit the Schengen visa applications to the Visa Application Centre.
Please note that all individual applicants have the option to submit the visa application directly to the Embassy/Consulate of Sweden or the Visa Application Centre.
The Embassy/Consulate of Sweden warns applicants of taking assistance and consultations from any kind of unauthorized agents - especially agents offering such services outside the Embassy, Consulate General and Visa Application Centre entrances. Neither the Embassy nor the Visa Application Centre approve of such services and shall not assume any responsibility for the information provided by such agents. Please notice that the invitations that are offered by such agents often are false.
Please note that scheduling an appointment to submit your application at the Visa Centre is free of cost. No additional money should be paid to anyone for this service. You can also visit the Visa Centre without an appointment which is also free of cost. You can also call the helpline number to make an appointment. You need to give the name of the applicant and the passport number.
