Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick links to information on visa categories and Long Term Schengen Visas helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.
Step 3 Applicants should fill the Download Forms corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the Download Forms by visiting the nearest Sweden Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.
Temporary operation hours of Sweden Visa Application Centres in China
In light of the current Coronavirus alert, please note that the Sweden Visa Application Centres located at Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan, Shenyang, Chengdu, Kunming ,Changsha and Hangzhou will provide visa application and passport passback service from 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs(Hangzhou from 10:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs) ,Monday to Friday during 24 February to 06 March 2020. Please kindly wear a facial mask when entering the Visa Application Centre. Thank you for your kind understanding. The Sweden Visa Application Centres located at Chongqing, Wuhan, Xian and Nanjing remain closed until 09 March 2020 (indefinite for Wuhan). However, the re-opening of the Centres may change, subject to further notifications from central, provincial and city authorities. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and kind co-operation. Please return to this page for further updates.
The Visa Application Centre buildings management will follow local authorities' special regulations on whether applicants from other cities can be allowed to enter the building. Please contact the respective Visa Application Centre through helpline or email in advance to know more about local regluations, in order to avoid any inconvenience caused during your application submission. Increased fees for visa applications
Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent.
Wuhan Visa Application Centre closure from 23 January 2020 - Information for customers planning to visit our Wuhan Visa Application Centre
Customers are advised that the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Wuhan have been closed since 23 January 2020, on account of official notice from the Pneumonia Epidemic Control Headquarters of Wuhan to limit inflow and outflow of people and reduce the spread of the virus.
Customers who come to collect their passports on 23 January will need to come when the VAC reopens.
The reopening will be scheduled for after Chinese New Year, and will be announced separately according to the official notice from the Pneumonia Epidemic Control Headquarters of Wuhan. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any inquiry.
