The Embassy of Sweden is pleased to announce the opening of the Visa Application Centre in Jakarta and Bali, Indonesia. In Indonesia, the visa applications can be submitted at the Visa Application Centre in Jakarta and Bali. They will be assessed by the Embassy of Sweden in Jakarta. Only Indonesian and foreigners with a legal residency permit in Indonesia can apply for a visa at the Visa Application Centre in Jakarta and Bali. Using VFS Global Service is optional, Applicants can still submit their visa application directly at The Embassy.

Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick links to information on visa categories and Long Term Visa Types helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.

Step 3 Applicants should fill the Download Forms corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the Download Forms by visiting the nearest Sweden Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.

  • Notice: As a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), all customers visiting the Visa Application Center in Jakarta are required to have their body temperature checked before entering the Centre.

    For customers with an appointment and having a temperature ≥ 38 ℃, our security team will date stamp the appointment letter and inform the customer to return with the letter when his/her health condition has improved, by emailing our helpdesk.

    Those with signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g. fever, cough and difficulty breathing) should seek medical advice as early as possible from the Indonesia Health Authorities.

  • Increased fees for visa applications

    Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent.
