Sweden Visa application centres are the official partners of the Embassy of Sweden and the Consulate General of Sweden in China. This website provides details related to your application submission and collection process along with other useful information you need to know.

Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick links to information on visa categories and Long Term Schengen Visas helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.

Step 3 Applicants should fill the Download Forms corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the Download Forms by visiting the nearest Sweden Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.

  • Temporary operation hours of Sweden Visa Application Centres in Shanghai Jurisdiction

    In light of the current Coronavirus alert, please note that from 30 November 2020 Sweden Visa Application Centres located at Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing will provide visa application and passport passback every Monday and Wednesday, from 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs (Hangzhou from 10:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs). For customers who want to visit Nanjing VAC, please make appointment by sending mail to infojvac.nanjingchina@vfshelpline.com or contact 0086 20 29106158.Please kindly wear a face mask when entering the Visa Application Centre.   • Temporary operation hours of Sweden Visa Application Centres in Beijing Jurisdiction with mandatory appointment

    In light of the current Coronavirus alert, please note that from 16 November 2020 Sweden Visa Application Centres located at Beijing, Jinan, Shenyang, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming and Changsha will provide visa application and passport passback service with mandatory appointment every Monday and Wednesday, from 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs. Please kindly wear a face mask when entering the Visa Application Centre. Thank you for your kind understanding.The Sweden Visa Application Centres located at Wuhan and Xian will remain closed until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and kind co-operation. Please return to this page for further updates.   • To mitigate the effects of the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the outbreak, a temporary ban on entry to the EU via Sweden is in force. The Government decided to extend the entry ban until 22 December 2020. Please refer below for more information.

  • The Sweden Visa Application Centre in Beijing is moving to Twenty One Century Plaza,4/F, No.40 Liang Ma Qiao Road, Chaoyang District , Beijing from 28 September 2020. Thank you for your kind understanding and support.
  • Information for Applicants planning to visit Visa Application Centre in Chongqing

    Starting 28 September 2020, Chongqing Sweden Visa Application Centre will be relocated to Room 6, 3F, Tower B, Reliance Center, No. 2 Xihu Zhi Road, Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, 401147, China. The previous address will be no longer valid.

  • Increased fees for visa applications

    Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent.

  • Sweden Visa Application Centres are only responsible for processing of applications and play no part in the decision making process of visa applications
  • Changes in the visa application submission process from 12 October 2015- biometric data

    Applicants wishing to apply for a visa at the Sweden Visa Application Centre must visit in person to provide their biometric data (fingerprint/photo)as per the VIS rules. In case it is a child under the age of 12 or if it is physically impossible, she/he needs not to provide biometric data but still needs to come for submission in person. Read detail here.
